Lindsey A. Zahn is an attorney who focuses her practice on alcohol beverage and food regulation. She is the Managing Partner of the law firm Lindsey Zahn P.C. Lindsey holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, a B.S. in hotel administration from Cornell University, and a University Diploma in transnational wine trade law from the Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne.
Lindsey is the author of On Reserve: A Wine Law Blog, which has been twice named one of the top 100 legal blogs by the American Bar Association Journal. She has contributed to several publications, including Thomson Reuters’ Wine and Beer Law book in addition to a chapter in Wine Law and Policy: From National Terroirs to a Global Market and Marques Vitivinicoles et Appellations d’Origine: Conflicts, Mimétismes et Nouveaux Paradigmes. She has been quoted by publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Decanter, and Quartz, and featured on podcasts such as Cider Chat, Legal Marketing Launch, and the ABA’s Women Rainmakers.
In 2016, Lawline named her one of the Top 20 Women Faculty for her CLE course called Introduction to Wine Law. Lindsey has taught at the Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne’s Wine and Law Program and she currently serves on the scientific board of JUS Vini, a legal journal dedicated to wine law.
Outside of her legal practice, Lindsey enjoys exploring wine regions and has been fortunate to visit places such as Champagne, Alsace, Tuscany, Piedmont, Chianti, Provence, Napa, Sonoma, Emilia-Romagna, Andalucía, and Portugal’s Douro Valley—whose breathtaking landscapes remain a personal favorite.
In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys painting, pilates, yoga, gardening, cooking, and traveling. Her favorite wines include Brunello di Montalcino and blanc de blancs Champagne. She lives in New York with Christopher Kulawik and their many pets.
